Throughout my fine art photography journey I’ve kept track of art nude publications from all around the world – both as a fan and professionally. Building long-term relationships with them is one of my professional goals. Here is my list of the TOP 10 Female Art Nude Publishers, evaluated on the following metrics:

• Models • Consistent quality of female models. They must be fit and emit palatable sexuality. Art nude is less about fashion and more about revealing a model’s soul. All cultures, nationalities, and ethnicities are welcome. My preferred measurements for featured models are as follows (i.e., with concessions made for exceptional talent):
  • Ideal Age • 18–32 years
  • Ideal Height • 164–180 cm, 5’4″ – 5’11”
  • Ideal Bust • B–D, 86–92 cm, 34″–36″, 85B-90D EU, 32-26 UK
  • Ideal Waist • 66–72 cm, 26″–28″
  • Ideal Hips • 88–96 cm, 34″–38″, 85-95 EU, 32-26 UK
  • Ideal Size • XS-M, 6-10, 32-26 UK

• Photography • Consistent quality of featured photographers. This includes displaying mastery of lighting, backdrops, and angles. The best photographers give everything during their photoshoots to bring out the best in each model.

• Volumes • Consistent quality of images from cover to cover. This is important because a poor spread will significantly downgrade an entire issue. Images need to represent the female body as a work of art. Publications are subjectively assessed as follows (i.e., all Publishers presented in this TOP 10 are an 8+):
  • 10/10 • Perfection • I haven’t yet come across a perfect publication.
  • 9/10 • Stellar Quality • All spreads are completely aligned with my photo-shooting style
  • 8/10 • Excellent Quality • Many images align with my style
  • 7/10 • Average Quality • Only a few images align with my style
  • 6/10 • Low Quality • None of the accompanying spreads are consistent with my style

• Publication • Consistency in quality across all issues. This means curating the best images that represent the publisher’s quality thresholds. Publications in this ranking should release their issues at least quarterly (i.e., as a minimum), or offer a subscription gateway.
  

• Presence • This isn’t a critical metric but establishes a general gauge of their fandom footprint. I don’t prioritize follower counts as a crucial metric because social media companies tend to delete accounts with little warning. In some cases, publishers are faced with starting from scratch after building hundreds of thousands of followers and years of effort. Nude art faces a moving target of restrictions as algorithms are improved to detect policy violations. There are stellar art nude publications with a 9/10 ranking and very few followers. The absence of print circulation figures makes it hard to gauge true commercial popularity.
  

• Passion • This qualitative measurement assesses the publisher’s emotional commitment to their craft. It’s all about spreading their love and passion for art nude photography.
