Risk versus reward is often discussed economically: How much money do I invest to get my return on investment? I would like to rather focus on a creativist’s perspective.
Artists take risks every time they create a new piece and showcase it. Comedians take risks telling a new joke to an audience with high expectations. Failure is part of success. We can’t expect that creating something from nothing will work in the first iteration or even its last. We fear public humiliation from exposing our vulnerabilities. But the criticism we receive may be just a mask to envy and jealousy. Artists sacrifice their souls in the creation of their art and also risk their ego when exposed to the public. In times like these: Confidence is King.
When we’re young we don’t value time because it’s abundant. We don’t realize how finite it is. We realize with maturity that we’re forever locked in a countdown clock, not knowing when it will hit zero. So when we invest in our creations we want them to be meaningful.
Art will be forever studied as a mirror to the social, economic, and cultural dynamics of each generation.
Throughout history, artists are indelibly linked to poverty and struggle. But history has shown that art transcends generations. Decades from now few will analyze today’s meeting minutes, balance sheets, or business plans. The men and women who thrive in today’s financial success may be forgotten while struggling artists will be praised for their work long past their time on this earth. Time well spent.
Dusil Photography captures exquisite moments with models who dare to be vulnerable and enter the world of sensuality. I’ve been blessed with the freedom to explore their deepest emotions. Whether it’s alluring curves or a seductive gaze, each photograph tells her story. My portfolio reflects a seamless fusion of feminine beauty and compassion.
